Duties and responsibilities
Designation: Mechanical Engineer
Reporting to: Head E&M, Project coordinator, Project Manager in order of sequence of hierarchy up-word.
Duties:
1.Carry out daily checks of all equipments.
2.Allocate operators, Mechanical helpers for carrying out checks and repairs.
3.Check for defects in equipments and take preventive action before breakdown.
4.Ensure repairs and maintenance are carried out as per schedule time.
5.Make sure work carried out is correct and done onetime.
6.Find the reason for breakdown and take corrective action to avoid repeat failure.
7.Ensure proper tools and fixtures are used.
8.Motivate mechanics and helpers to work safely and efficiently.
9.Ensure all mechanics and helpers are with safety shoes and helmet while working near the equipments and in
mine area.
Responsibilities:
1.Maintain work discipline at all times during work hours.
2.Maintain all logbooks and check sheets shift wise and get attested by Head E&M, Project coordinator, Project
Manager.
3.Ensure manpower is properly allocated to attend breakdowns of equipments immediately and support the
activity.
