  • Troubleshooting
    Using tools and techniques to identify the root cause of network issues. This can include monitoring logs, analyzing network traffic, and diagnosing system errors. 
     
  • Resolving issues
    Implementing solutions to correct problems, such as updating software, deploying patches, or reconfiguring routers and switches. 
     
  • Monitoring
    Continuously monitoring systems to detect events and ensure that the current status is known. 
     

  • Event management
    Determining the significance of events and triggering the appropriate response. 
     
  • Documentation
    Keeping a database of past issues to help with quicker resolutions and software development over time. 
     
  • Communication
    Maintaining communication channels within and outside the team to keep stakeholders informed. 
     
  • Collaboration
    Working closely with IT and non-IT staff, including technical support, service provisioning, and sales teams.
