Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with expertise in maintaining critical industrial equipment such as pumps, hot water generators, boilers, and effluent treatment plants. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of all mechanical systems, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Pump Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial pumps, ensuring efficient operation of various types such as centrifugal, reciprocating, and positive displacement pumps.
Hot Water Generator Maintenance: Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot hot water generation systems. Ensure optimal performance of the hot water generators by conducting regular inspections, repairs, and system testing.
Boiler Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of boilers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Address any issues related to pressure, temperature, or fuel systems to ensure smooth operations.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP): Ensure the smooth operation of the effluent treatment plant. Monitor and maintain equipment related to water treatment processes, including pumps, valves, and filtration systems. Ensure the plant meets environmental and regulatory standards.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan for all mechanical equipment, reducing unplanned downtime. Respond to breakdowns and provide timely corrective maintenance to minimize disruption in production processes.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical issues across various systems (pumps, boilers, hot water generators, ETP), identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements. Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational procedures. Promote a culture of safety across all maintenance activities.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Essential Skills
Pump Maintenance: Strong experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial pumps.
Hot Water Generators: Knowledge of hot water generator systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
Boilers: Hands-on experience with maintaining and repairing industrial boilers, including safety and operational checks.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP): Practical experience in maintaining and troubleshooting effluent treatment plants, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Additional Skills
Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve mechanical faults, minimizing downtime.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report on maintenance activities and collaborate with teams.
