Customs and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and documentation requirements.
Coordinate with customs brokers and regulatory bodies to ensure shipments meet all import/export regulations.
File and verify the accuracy of documents required for customs clearance.
Customer Service and Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding their shipments, providing updates and handling inquiries.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
Carrier and Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, ground handlers, and other vendors.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
Monitor carrier performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all export shipments and documentation.
Ensure proper filing and storage of documents for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
Problem-Solving and Risk Management:
Identify and address potential issues or risks in the shipment process, such as delays or customs issues.
