Responsibilities: Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components for production. Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and manage production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production capacity. Implement lean manufacturing principles and automation where applicable. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards. Implement Total Quality Management (TQM) practices to minimize defects and rework. Investigate and address any quality issues promptly. Production Efficiency: Monitor and analyze production metrics, such as OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), and take corrective actions to meet production targets. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring that production is not disrupted due to shortages. Cost Control: Manage production budgets and implement cost-saving measures. Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen events, to drive operational excellence. Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and promote a safety-conscious culture. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present production reports to senior management. Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and Supply Chain, to align production with company goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
