Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:




• Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.


• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components for production.




2. Team Leadership and Management:




• Recruit, train, and manage production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and operators.


• Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback.


• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.




3. Process Optimization:




• Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production capacity.


• Implement lean manufacturing principles and automation where applicable.


• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.




4. Quality Assurance:




• Establish and maintain quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.


• Implement Total Quality Management (TQM) practices to minimize defects and rework.


• Investigate and address any quality issues promptly.




5. Production Efficiency:




• Monitor and analyze production metrics, such as OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), and take corrective actions to meet production targets.


• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.




6. Inventory Management:




• Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring that production is not disrupted due to shortages.




7. Cost Control:




• Manage production budgets and implement cost-saving measures.


• Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.




8. Continuous Improvement:




• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen events, to drive operational excellence.


• Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.




9. Health and Safety:




• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.


• Conduct regular safety audits and promote a safety-conscious culture.




10. Reporting and Communication:




• Prepare and present production reports to senior management.


• Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and Supply Chain, to align production with company goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


• A minimum of [X] years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.


• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.


• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Familiarity with electric vehicle manufacturing processes is a plus.
