The Area Sales Officer will be responsible for expanding the company's footprint, developing strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and customers, and ensuring the growth of the company's dairy product sales in the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Achievement:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and sales volume.
Market Development:
- Identify and explore new market opportunities within the region.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retail partners.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead and motivate the local sales team to achieve sales objectives.
- Conduct training sessions for the sales team and partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
Product Knowledge and Marketing:
- Stay updated on company products and industry trends.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Monitor stock levels and work closely with logistics to ensure timely deliveries to clients.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure product availability.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, competitor analysis, and market trends.
- Provide insights on improving sales processes and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG or dairy product sales.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the dairy industry and market dynamics.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
- Personality Traits: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
