Job Overview:
As a Crew Executive at Seamac Company, you will be responsible for managing crew
operations, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and facilitating the efficient
deployment of crew members to vessels. The position requires a strong understanding of crew
management processes, vessel crew schedules, and maritime industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Crew Management:
o Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and deployment of crew members to vessels.
o Ensure that all crew members meet the required certifications, qualifications, and
experience for their respective positions.
o Maintain crew rosters and ensure that all crew rotations are adhered to as per
schedule.
Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, industry standards, and
company policies regarding crew management.
o Prepare and manage all necessary documentation related to crew certification,
contracts, visas, medical certificates, and other legal requirements.
o Maintain accurate records of crew movements, certifications, and performance.
Crew Welfare:
o Assist in addressing crew welfare issues, including ensuring crew members' needs
are met during assignments, such as accommodation, meals, and rest periods.
o Coordinate with medical professionals for crew health checks, emergency cases,
and support.
Communication and Coordination:
o Act as a liaison between the crew, vessel management, and operational teams to
ensure smooth communication and operation.
o Coordinate with other departments (HR, operations, finance) to ensure timely
payment and contract renewals for crew members.
Training and Development:
o Ensure that crew members undergo necessary training to meet industry standards,
including safety drills, operational procedures, and other skills development.
o Keep track of ongoing training and certification requirements for crew members.
Safety and Emergency Protocols:
o Ensure all crew members are trained and compliant with safety protocols and
emergency procedures.
o Report and escalate any safety or disciplinary issues within the crew to
management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
is preferred.
o Additional qualifications in crew management, maritime safety, or related areas
will be an advantage.
Experience:
o Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime or
shipping industry.
o Experience in crew management, operations, or human resources is highly
desirable.
Skills:
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in MS Office and crew management software.
o Strong knowledge of maritime laws, crew regulations, and industry best practices.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
