Job description

Key Responsibilities: 

Logistics Operations & Coordination
Manage and oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

 Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement teams to optimize stock levels.
Handle import/export documentation and compliance with international trade regulations (if applicable).

 Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
Analyze logistics costs and develop strategies to minimize expenses while maintaining service quality.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays in supply chain operations. 

Optimize route planning and load management to maximize transportation efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and government guidelines. 

Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other logistics-related documents.
Handle any logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, and resolve them effectively. 

 Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, vendors, and transport partners.
Negotiate contracts with shipping and courier companies to achieve cost-effective logistics solutions.

 Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and customer service to align logistics operations with business needs. 

 Reporting & Analysis
Track key logistics performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare reports for management. Use data analytics to identify trends, improve efficiency, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Forecast logistics needs based on sales trends and market demand.
