Design Engineer

Job description

Campany: Waterman Industries Pvt. Ltd. Position: Design Engineer Experience: 2 to 3 years Location: Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities

1. Product/Component Design:

o Develop and design new products, parts, or systems based on specifications and user requirements.

o Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for creating 2D/3D models.

2. Concept Development:

o Translate ideas and concepts into feasible designs.

o Create prototypes and iterate designs based on feedback and test results.

3. Technical Analysis:

o Perform stress analysis, simulations, or FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to test design durability and performance.

o Ensure products meet safety, quality, and functionality standards.

4. Collaboration:

o Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, marketing, and quality assurance.

o Coordinate with clients or stakeholders to align the design with business needs.

5. Documentation:

o Prepare detailed drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and technical documents.

o Maintain design records and revision histories.

6. Prototype Development & Testing:

o Assist in building and testing prototypes.

o Analyze test data and make design modifications where needed.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

o Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.

o Prepare documentation required for certifications or approvals.

8. Cost & Efficiency Optimization:

o Design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

o Suggest design changes to improve production efficiency or reduce costs.

Skills Required:
