Position Overview:
Store Manager will be responsible for daily store department activities. He will ensure raw material, packaging material,
finished goods and engineering spares& consumables storage, issuance, and inventory as per plan. He will report to Plant
Head. He will be responsible for managing inventories and guide a team of Store department to drive continuous
improvement, maximize productivity, and maintain a safe working environment.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
FUNCTION: STORE DEPARTMENT
ROLE: STORE MANAGER (RM, PM, FG, Engg. Spares & Consumables)
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in science/commerce/engineering and post-graduation in Operations Management / Supply Chain
Management from a recognized university/institute.
Proficiency in computer software applications such as ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and manufacturing
software is preferable. Exposure to SAP ERP system will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of food safety and quality standards is essential.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Proven experience of at least 7 years plus in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain
operations, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain optimum inventory levels of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Finished Goods & Engineering
Spares & Consumables; to ensure continuity of manufacturing process at all the times.
2. Receiving and inspection of materials, its quantification, maintaining a minimum stock level of Raw
Materials, Packaging Materials, Finished Goods & Engineering Spares & Consumables.

3. Do stock inwarding & stock transactions, maintain records as per the company’s system and protocols.
Control over Returnable & Non-Returnable Goods.
4. Ensure proper storage of materials with identification in designated areas, adhering to safety and quality
standards.
5. Implement inventory control systems to track stock levels (Min, Reorder & Max), orders, and deliveries.
6. Monitor & control SLOB (Slow moving & Obsolete Stock) inventories.
7. Timely write offs and disposal of obsolete stocks
8. Conduct regular physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies if any, and identify opportunities for
Improvement.
9. Collaborate with finance for smooth completion of Internal & statutory stores inventory audits
10. Understand the needs and expectations of internal customers.
11. Collaborate with the procurement team to manage incoming shipments and verify accuracy against
purchase orders.
12. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
13. Address any issues related to delayed or defective supplies.
14. As a custodian of inventory ensure strict control of inventory, restrict any unauthorized entry in stores,
keep stores under lock & key post Stroes operating hours.
15. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
16. Monitor and control the store's expense budget.
Team Management:
1. Lead, mentor, and coach a diverse team of supervisors, and store staff.
2. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
3. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Resource Management:
• To provide resources that are required to run the store process smoothly in line with the AOP and MRP.
• Improve storage facility by way of vertical storage systems and automate material handling by CAPEX
budget planning.
• Always keep Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in good working condition.
Safety Compliance:
• Develop a safety culture inside the stores, report incidents to the Safety department and take corrective
actions to stop future reoccurrence.
• Near miss reporting, unsafe acts, unsafe condition identification, and mitigation for a better & safer work
environment.
