Role: Assistant Manager – Quality (Managing 3rd Party Locations)

Location: Bhiwandi, Mumbai Travel: Required to travel across India to 3rd party manufacturing locations

Key Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager – Quality, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end quality operations at 3rd party manufacturing locations. This includes:
• Frequent travel to 3rd party units across India for audits, training, inspections, and quality monitoring
. • Overseeing day-to-day quality control operations and ensuring adherence to regulatory (FSSAI, ISO, etc.) standards.
• Reviewing product and process specifications as per FSSAI & IS standards.
• Enforcing quality requirements for raw materials, in-process materials, and final products.
• Coordinating with 3rd party teams and internal stakeholders to resolve quality deviations.
• Maintaining hygiene standards for people, equipment, and the production environment.
• Approving compliant batches and rejecting non-conforming products
. • Documenting all quality processes for audit readiness.
• Implementing robust QC systems to maintain consistent product quality.
• Leading internal audits and managing 3rd party audits.
• Training QC staff on quality procedures and standards.
• Driving root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing CAPA.
• Ensuring GMP, GHP, and HACCP adherence across facilities.
• Working closely with Operations to ensure real-time quality improvements.
• Verifying and maintaining complete records of QC data and results.
• Monitoring packaging quality and final product inspection.
• Minimizing customer complaints through proactive quality management.
Qualifications and Skills
• Postgraduate degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of QC experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong command over food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and documentation protocols.
• Experience managing 3rd party/contract manufacturing setups is a must.
• Willingness and ability to travel across India frequently.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated team leadership and coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
