Staff Nurse
Location - Mumbai
salary - 15 K to 25 K
Key Responsibilities: Staff Nurse
Provide direct nursing care to patients as per their treatment plans.
Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and behavior, and report any changes to the physician or nurse supervisor.
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
Assist with medical procedures, including the preparation and aftercare.
Record and maintain accurate patient charts, noting observations, medication dosages, and treatment outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work alongside the healthcare team (doctors, physical therapists, social workers, etc.) to create and update patient care plans.
Provide support to patients and families by educating them on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
Effectively communicate patient concerns, progress, and issues with other healthcare professionals.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA (or relevant privacy regulations).
Infection Control & Safety:
Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
Ensure all medical equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and functioning correctly.
Adhere to health and safety standards within the facility, including safe handling of medications and biological materials.
Implement emergency procedures during critical situations, such as cardiac arrest, accidents, or trauma cases.
Administration & Documentation:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Help maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary.
Participate in team meetings, shift handovers, and staff development sessions.
Training & Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional education and training sessions to maintain certification and stay updated on medical advancements.
Take part in departmental meetings and contribute to improving nursing practices.
Supervise and mentor junior nurses or nursing students, providing guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing.
Valid nursing license (e.g., RN license, or equivalent in your country/region).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required in some areas).
Experience:
Previous experience as a Staff Nurse or in a similar nursing role preferred, but not always required for entry-level positions.
Experience in [specialty area, if relevant, such as Pediatrics, ICU, etc.] is an asset.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Empathy, patience, and a caring demeanor when interacting with patients.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergency situations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with medical software and patient management systems.
