Job description
We’re hiring a dynamic and analytical Civil & Interiors Costing professional to spearhead cost estimation and financial oversight for commercial turnkey projects. You will be pivotal in defining accurate project budgets, analysing costs, and steering value-engineering initiatives—ensuring optimal financial performance aligned with design ambition and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Lead end-to-end cost estimation for civil works and interior fit-outs—covering structural, finishing, and furnishing elements.
- - Analyze drawings, specs, and tender documents to quantify materials, labor, and equipment needs.
- - Conduct market analysis and negotiate with OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for best-cost sourcing.
- - Collaborate with Sales, Design, and Procurement teams to align cost frameworks with design expectations and quality benchmarks.
- - Maintain comprehensive cost databases (materials, labor rates, supplier details) for real-time accuracy.
- - Prepare detailed BOQs, cost reports, and budget forecasts to facilitate transparent project tracking.
- - Identify and implement value-engineering opportunities without compromising on functionality or finish.
- - Scrutinize subcontractor bids to ensure alignment with technical, contractual, and cost effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- - Minimum of 5 years in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or costing roles in civil and interior projects, ideally within EPC or building materials sectors
- - Proven track record with BOQ preparation, rate analysis, cost reporting, and value-engineering practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, CostX, or similar estimating software talentify.io.
- - Advanced Excel skills and data-driven cost modelling capabilities.
- - Strong commercial acumen—vendor negotiation, budgeting, and variance management.
- - Exceptional communication and stakeholder management coupled with teamwork and problem-solving prowess.
- - Knowledge of local/international costing standards, building codes, and fit-out methodologies.
