Job description

A rider (or delivery driver/courier) is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, food, or packages from a point of origin to a designated destination using a bicycle, motorbike, or car. Key duties include route planning, safe loading/unloading, vehicle maintenance, customer service, managing delivery schedules, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records. Strong communication skills, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent customer service are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery: Pick up and transport items like food, packages, or documents to customers.

Route Management: Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, often using GPS.

Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance to keep the vehicle in good working order.

Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and cordial manner, resolving any issues or complaints efficiently.

Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload items from the vehicle.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, expenses, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Payment Handling: Collect payments from customers and issue receipts, if required.

Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
