Hub Manager (EV Fleet)
The Hub Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of the EV-based last mile delivery hub, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
• Oversee daily last mile delivery operations from the hub.
• Ensure efficient allocation and deployment of EVs and drivers.
• Monitor delivery performance (on-time deliveries, failed attempts, route efficiency).
• Optimize hub processes to reduce turnaround times and maximize vehicle utilization.
2. Fleet & Asset Management (EV-Specific)
• Manage the EV fleet (4W / 2W / 3W) – availability, utilization, and upkeep.
• Coordinate with maintenance partners for preventive and corrective servicing.
• Track EV battery charging, range management, and downtime.
• Monitor charging infrastructure (charging stations, swapping stations, backup solutions).
3. Driver Management
• Recruit, train, and manage delivery associates (drivers/riders).
• Ensure drivers follow EV handling, charging, and safety protocols.
• Maintain shift rosters, attendance, and productivity tracking.
• Address grievances and ensure driver satisfaction/retention.
4. Cost & Compliance Control
• Manage hub operational expenses (electricity, charging costs, repairs, manpower).
• Track and report EV-specific savings vs. conventional fleet.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory norms, traffic rules, and EV compliance guidelines.
• Maintain records for vehicle insurance, permits, and charging bills.
5. Safety & Sustainability
• Ensure safe EV charging practices and fire safety compliance.
• Implement driver training on EV handling, accident protocols, and first aid.
• Track carbon footprint savings and sustainability metrics for reporting.
6. Customer & Client Management
• Ensure delivery SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met for clients.
• Address customer complaints related to delivery delays or issues.
• Share daily/weekly performance reports with clients/central team.
7. Reporting & Analytics
• Track hub KPIs – deliveries per day, EV uptime, driver productivity, charging turnaround, energy cost per km, etc.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Submit regular reports to regional/city operations head.
