About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on QA Engineer to help test our web, mobile (iOS/Android), REST APIs, and OTT TV applications (Android TV, Fire TV, Smart TV).
You’ll work with developers, product managers and DevOps to ensure that every release meets functional, usability and playback-quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases and test data for web, mobile, API and TV platforms.
- Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, UI/UX and exploratory testing on all supported devices.
- Test and validate REST / GraphQL APIs with tools such as Postman / Swagger; verify payloads, headers, status codes and error flows.
- Carry out mobile-app testing (iOS/Android) — installation, login, deep-links, push notifications, upgrade flows and basic performance checks.
- Execute OTT / TV-app testing (Android TV, Fire TV, WebOS, Tizen) — navigation with remote, video-playback & adaptive-bitrate streaming, subtitles, captions, DRM, buffering/error scenarios.
- Assist in smoke & sanity testing for every build/release in staging & production.
- Contribute to improving test documentation, check-lists and QA processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 – 4 + years of QA experience in manual testing.
- Clear understanding of STLC / SDLC, defect life-cycle, test design techniques.
- Practical experience in REST API testing with Postman or similar tools.
- Experience testing mobile applications on real devices/emulators.
- Basic exposure to OTT / TV-app testing (at least one platform: Android TV / Fire TV / Smart TV).
- Good verbal & written communication, curiosity to explore edge cases, attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of basic SQL / MongoDB for data checks.
- Any exposure to automation (Selenium / Appium / REST-assured) is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows and CI/CD release cycles.
- Experience with cross-browser testing tools (BrowserStack, SauceLabs, etc.).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field (or equivalent practical experience).
