Responsible for developing the overall purchasing strategy for traded goods - Work closely with Product Heads to ensure fast turnaround - Developing new, global and local sources - Cost analysis to ensure efficient sourcing - Providing management with strategic inputs on make vs buy decisions - Keep track of relevant global commodity prices so as to provide early warning on price increase\decrease - Building strategic relationships with key vendors - Scan global markets for cost efficient sources of traded goods - Ensure quality focus and develop programs for vendor quality assurance - Work with vendors to optimize lead times - Manage the supply chain so as to ensure availability of goods
