Senior Data Analyst

Job description

Key Responsibility Area: (Specifies Key Result Areas for the Incumbent)

o Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and SSRS.

o Create complex calculations using Tableau’s calculated fields and SSRS expressions.

o Build efficient data models and ensure optimal performance of visualizations.

o Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts for data integration and governance.

o Implement security protocols including Row-Level Security (RLS) in Tableau and SSRS.

o Manage report scheduling, subscriptions, and deployments.

o Provide ongoing support for ad-hoc reporting and dashboard requests raised via ServiceNow tickets.

o Analyze and respond to ServiceNow tickets related to report creation, modification, and troubleshooting.

o Prioritize and resolve client-specific requests within defined SLAs.

o Maintain documentation of ticket resolutions and change history for audit and compliance.

o Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.

o Ensure high responsiveness and quality in handling dynamic, short-turnaround tasks.

o Provide support and training to business users on report usage and interpretation.

o Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations and data security standards.

o Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data visualization and reporting.

Eligibility Criteria: (Skill set required to do the job- Knowledge, Tools, Technical Knowledge, Certifications etc.)

o Super-user level proficiency in T-SQL:

▪ Ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex stored procedures, views, and queries.

▪ Deep understanding of indexing, query performance tuning, and transactional logic.

▪ Experience with large-scale data sets and financial data modelling.

o Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and SSRS.

o Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.

o Experience with financial data and reporting in banking or credit union environments.

o Hands-on experience with Tableau Prep, SSRS Report Builder.

o Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.

o Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.

o Experience in managing and resolving ServiceNow tickets related to BI reporting tasks.
