Required Qualification
1. Graduate / Post Graduate/ MBA degree in supply chain management, logistics or business
administration.
2. At least 5+ years of experience in a senior position handling Procurement (preferably in a
Chemical/ Agro Industry) with knowledge of related compliances and statutory requirements
in any reputed organization. Experience of having worked with R&D function will be an
advantage.
Skills & Attributes:
● Proven working experience in a similar role.
● Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management, Assets & Inventory Management.
● Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
● Outstanding negotiation and networking.
● Working experience of vendor management softwares.
● Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.
● Solid judgment along with decision making skills.
● Strong leadership capabilities.
Job Description
1. Management of the overall procurement systems which will include the following:
1. Develop, lead and execute purchase strategies.
2. Identifying and removing potential barriers to success.
3. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirement documentations.
4. Alternate procurement and vendor strategies for every possible item.
5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier
power.
6. Define and monitor efficiency, effectiveness and success of the Procurement activities
using adequate controlling tools which are measurable and repeatable.
7. Initiating a Sourcing Strategy in alignment with Global Procurement standards.
8. Ensuring the implementation and tracking of the achieved results.
9. Ownership for individual Procurement targets.
10.Align internal local decision makers through focused communication.
11. Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
12. Assess, manage and mitigate risks
13. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
14.Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
15. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
16.Establish appropriate guidelines, policy and governance across the organization based
on the Global Procurement standards and local compliance requirements.
