Job Description: Regional Collection Head Location: Mumbai Experience: 10+ Years Industry: NBFC / Banking product:Unsecured Business Loans, personal loan Role Overview: The Regional Collection Head will be responsible for leading and managing the entire collections function for the region. The role demands strong team leadership, expertise in unsecured business loan collections, and the ability to control flow buckets while ensuring portfolio quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Regional Portfolio Management * Oversee end-to-end collections for unsecured business loan portfolio across the assigned region. * Monitor and control flow buckets (0–30, 30–60, 60–90 DPD). * Achieve monthly and quarterly recovery targets with minimal roll-forwards. 2. Team Leadership & Performance Management * Lead and manage a team of Area/Branch Collection Managers and field executives. * Set KPIs for the collection team and ensure high productivity. * Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and on-ground support. 3. Strategy & Execution * Develop and implement region-specific collection strategies for flow, mid, and hard buckets. * Ensure adherence to collections processes, regulatory guidelines, and company policies. * Optimize resources and field deployment for maximum recovery output. 4. Customer Handling & Resolution * Handle escalated cases, negotiate settlements, and ensure closure of high-value accounts. * Collaborate with legal team on Section 138, arbitration, and legal recovery cases. 5. Reporting & Analytics * Track portfolio performance using MIS dashboards. * Share regular portfolio insights, DPD trends, and action plans with senior management. Required Skills & Competencies: * **10+ years of experience** in collections within NBFC/BFSI. * Strong exposure to **Unsecured Business Loan (UBL)** portfolio. * Proven ability in **team handling**, mentoring, and motivating collection teams. * Expertise in **flow bucket management** and reducing roll rates. * Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills. * Knowledge of legal processes related to collections.
