Sales analyst

Job description

Experience:

2–4 years of experience in operations, planning, or supply chain roles. Experience in consumable manufacturing / batch processing industry preferred.

Key responsibilities:

Operational Planning & Coordination

1. Prepare, update, and monitor sales forecasts.

2. Raise and follow up on purchase indents; track pending POs.

3. Coordinate with sales, production, and stores to streamline daily operations.

4. Prepare monthly and 4-month rolling production plans.

Inventory Management

1. Maintain FG inventory levels at optimum levels.

2. Conduct periodic stock checks and ensure 100% accurate SKU availability.

3. Minimize Muda activities and control premium freight within defined limits.

Analysis & Reporting

1. Analyze forecast vs. actual variances (engineer-wise / vertical-wise).

2. Track sales trends across business verticals.

3. Prepare operational dashboards and present status to management.

Market Intelligence & Cost Efficiency

1. Collect and share industry insights to support decision-making.

2. Drive cost-reduction initiatives with CFT and monitor progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving ability.

2. Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and ERP systems.

3. Good communication and coordination skills.

4. Understanding of inventory, forecasting, and production processes.

5. Ability to work with cross-functional teams under time constraints.
