Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer / Performance Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in performance testing, performance tuning, and end-to-end analysis of highly scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have deep technical skills with modern performance testing tools, APM platforms, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, design, and execute performance, load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests.
2. Implement distributed load generation and containerized performance testing setups (Docker/Kubernetes).
3. Conduct performance analysis, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations.
4. Perform JVM tuning, application server tuning, database optimization, caching improvements, and OS-level tuning.
5. Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
6. Analyze test results, logs, CPU/heap dumps, GC logs, thread dumps, and profiling reports.
7. Work closely with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to improve system performance.

Required Skills

1. Performance Testing Tools:
2. Mandatory: JMeter
3. Good to have: LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, k6
4. APM & Monitoring Tools:
5. Perfmon, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog
6. Tuning Expertise:
7. WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, JVM tuning, DB tuning (Oracle/Postgres/SQL Server), caching & network optimization
8. Scripting Languages:
9. Python, Shell, Groovy, Java, JavaScript
10. Technical Knowledge:
11. HTTP, REST, WebSockets, Microservices architecture
12. Cloud Experience:
13. AWS / Azure / GCP
14. Experience with distributed load generation, Docker, Kubernetes
15. Strong debugging and analytical skills for thread dump, heap dump, GC log analysis
