Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to manage sourcing and purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect supplies required for protein manufacturing. The role involves vendor coordination, cost optimization, inventory support, and ensuring timely availability of materials while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Source and procure raw materials (protein powders, additives, ingredients), packaging materials, and consumables as per production requirements
2. Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
3. Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in ERP systems and track order status
4. Coordinate with production, quality, warehouse, and finance teams for material planning and requirement forecasting
5. Ensure procurement complies with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
6. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers within defined limits
7. Monitor inventory levels and support stock optimization to avoid shortages or excess
8. Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation
9. Handle vendor follow-ups, discrepancies, and invoice reconciliation
10. Support audits, vendor evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Basic understanding of procurement processes in FMCG or food/protein manufacturing
2. Knowledge of raw materials and packaging used in protein/nutraceutical products (preferred)
3. Strong negotiation and vendor coordination skills
4. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar)
5. Good analytical, documentation, and follow-up skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Educational Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field

Experience

0.6 – 2 years of experience in procurement or purchase roles, preferably in FMCG, food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
