Job Description – Oracle SOA Developer (80%) + WebLogic Administrator (20%)

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle SOA Developer with additional exposure to
Oracle WebLogic Administration. The role is 80% development-focused, involving end-
to-end design and implementation of SOA/OSB integrations, and 20% WebLogic
administration, covering deployments, configuration, and environment support. The ideal
candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Oracle SOA Suite along with working
knowledge of WebLogic Server management.
Key Responsibilities
SOA Development Responsibilities (80%)
∙Design, develop, and implement integrations using:
oOracle SOA Suite 11g/12c
oBPEL, Mediator, OSB, Human Workflow
oAdapters (File, DB, JMS, FTP, SOAP/REST)
∙Build and optimize Oracle Service Bus (OSB) interfaces.
∙Develop reusable components, canonical models, and integration patterns.
∙Troubleshoot integration failures, performance issues, and deployment challenges.
∙Work closely with architects, functional teams, and business users for requirement
analysis.
∙Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices.
∙Prepare technical designs, mapping documents, deployment manuals, and support
guides.
∙Integrate with third-party systems and manage end-to-end service lifecycle.
WebLogic Administration Responsibilities (20%)
∙Perform deployments, configuration, and monitoring of applications on Oracle
WebLogic Server.
∙Support WebLogic domains, clusters, JDBC/JMS configurations, and security setups.
∙Ensure smooth running of SOA/OSB and middleware environments.
∙Assist with patching, tuning, log analysis, and basic troubleshooting.
∙Monitor JVM performance, heap usage, GC, and server health.
∙Support incident management, RCA, and production issue resolution.
∙Coordinate with Infra/DBA/Network teams for environment stability.
Required Skills & Experience
∙8–12+ years of experience in Oracle SOA Suite & Middleware.
∙Strong hands-on experience in:
oBPEL, Mediator, OSB, SOA composites
oXSLT, XQuery, XML, XPath
oIntegrations (ERP, Cloud Apps, REST/SOAP services)
∙Good experience in WebLogic deployments and environment support.
∙Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
∙Experience in SOAP UI, Postman, and service testing tools.
∙Good understanding of enterprise integration frameworks and middleware concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
∙Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration (OIC) is an advantage.
∙Familiarity with WLST scripting, Shell scripting, or Python.
∙Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
∙Oracle SOA/OSB certification or WebLogic certification is a plus.
