Contracts Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Contracts to lead bid and tender strategy, contract management, and execution support for solar and renewable energy projects. The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within budget, schedule, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and execution of bid/tender strategies for solar projects.
2. Manage the preparation, review, and submission of bid/tender documentation in line with competitive bidding processes.
3. Identify commercial, contractual, and execution risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
4. Assess permitting, environmental, and jurisdictional approval requirements, including their commercial and schedule impact on project execution.
5. Lead contract negotiation and contract management, including contract specifications, subcontractor selection, project insurance, and statutory approvals.
6. Review and manage technical and commercial evaluations for subcontractors, including scope, schedules, budgets, EHS plans, and permit compliance.
7. Coordinate with owners, owners’ engineers, EPC contractors, utilities, and equipment vendors to ensure compliance with contractual terms and delivery milestones.
8. Ensure quality assurance and safe construction practices through site inspections and coordination with third-party inspection agencies, as required.
9. Lead and facilitate project review and status meetings with utilities, EPCs, off-takers, and financial stakeholders using detailed project plans and status dashboards.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Education: B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech (any specialization)
2. Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably solar EPC projects
3. Strong exposure to bidding, tendering, contract administration, and project execution
