Job Description: NPD Electronic Circuit & PCB Design Engineer (R&D)

Office Timings: - 9:45 PM to 6:15 PM

1.Hardware Design Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop electronic circuits for power supplies, control boards, and embedded systems.
2. Select appropriate components (microcontrollers, power devices, sensors, etc.) based on project requirements.
3. Prepare circuit schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium, KiCAD, or Easy EDA.
4. Prototype, test, and troubleshoot PCBs and circuits.
5. Work on EMI/EMC compliance, safety standards, and hardware validation.

2. Software / Firmware Responsibilities:

1. Develop or configure embedded firmware/software for microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, PIC, or similar).
2. Work on communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, Modbus, CAN, or Ethernet.
3. Configure and test control parameters, calibration, and data logging.
4. Integrate hardware with SCADA/PLC or other software systems.
5. Debug and test firmware to ensure reliable performance.

3. Documentation & Support:

1. Prepare design documentation, BOM, and test reports.
2. Support production and service teams in troubleshooting and debugging.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, production, QA).

4. Required Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
2. Experience in PCB design and circuit simulation.
3. Familiar with microcontrollers and embedded programming (C/C++).
4. Hands-on experience with hardware testing instruments (DSO, multi meter, LCR, power analyzer).
5. Knowledge of power electronics, SMPS, and converter topologies is an added advantage.
6. Understanding of communication interfaces and industrial protocols.
7. Basic knowledge of software tools (e.g., Code Composer Studio, STM32CubeIDE, MPLAB, etc.).

5. Qualification:

1. B.Tech / B.E / Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

6. Experience:

1. 2 to 5 years of experience in mixed hardware and software development.

7. Other Requirements:

1. Ability to work independently and in a team.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
