Position Overview

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. The role requires strong hands-on experience in heat exchanger and pressure vessel fabrication within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage shop-floor production activities to meet daily and monthly production targets.
2. Plan, organize, and monitor manufacturing processes for heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
3. Ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings, WPS, and inspection requirements.
4. Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, Stores, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
5. Monitor welding, fabrication, assembly, and testing activities.
6. Ensure adherence to safety norms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
7. Optimize manpower utilization and reduce production downtime.
8. Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
9. Maintain production records, reports, and shift logs.
10. Train, guide, and evaluate shop-floor technicians and operators.

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Strong knowledge of heat exchanger and pressure vessel manufacturing processes.
2. Hands-on experience in fabrication, welding coordination, and assembly.
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
4. Familiarity with ASME codes, quality standards, and safety practices.
5. Leadership skills with the ability to manage large shop-floor teams.
6. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
7. Good coordination and communication skills.

Educational Qualification

1. Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience Requirement

1. Minimum 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or heavy engineering equipment.
