Design engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed **2D/3D drawings** using **AutoCAD** for machines, assemblies, and individual components

* Design mechanical components and assemblies as per functional and manufacturing requirements

* Develop concept designs, layouts, and working drawings

* Modify and improve existing designs to enhance performance, cost, and manufacturability

* Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility

* Prepare **BOM (Bill of Materials)** and technical specifications

* Ensure designs comply with relevant **engineering standards and safety norms**

* Support troubleshooting and design changes during manufacturing and installation

* Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and design changes

Required Skills & Competencies

* Proficiency in **AutoCAD** (mandatory)

* Strong knowledge of **machine design and component design**

* Good understanding of **mechanical engineering fundamentals**

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Good communication and teamwork abilities
