Website: https://uppercase.co.in/ Role: Product Designer (Assistant Manager) Function: Design Location: Mumbai Individual contributor Reporting to: Chief Design Officer Desired Candidate Profile • A Bachelors or a Master’s degree in industrial design. • 3 to 6 years of experience in product design, preferably in the luggage or consumer durable industry • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Rhino, and KeyShot. • Strong sketching and visualization skills to communicate design concepts effectively. • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques relevant to luggage and travel accessories. Role & Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales and manufacturing to develop innovative product concepts and designs. • Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify consumer preferences, competitive products, and emerging design trends in the luggage and travel accessories industry. • Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design sketches, renderings, and prototypes using industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, and Rhino. • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, user testing, and design reviews to refine product concepts and enhance usability and functionality. • Support the product development lifecycle from initial concept through to production launch, including sourcing, sampling, and quality assurance. • Plan for new product launches based on thorough understanding of category and distribution objectives for the products to be launched.
