Job description

Our client, a leading global provider of enterprise technology solutions, is expanding its SAP delivery practice and is looking for a seasoned SAP S/4HANA MM Consultant. This role sits at the intersection of functional expertise and technical delivery, requiring a deep understanding of Materials Management processes and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust SAP solutions.

The consultant will be responsible for end‑to‑end configuration of the MM module, covering procurement, inventory management, and logistics execution. You will work closely with functional leads to capture business needs, conduct fit‑gap workshops, and produce detailed functional specifications. Your technical acumen will be leveraged to design and develop RICEFW objects, including custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows, as well as modern Fiori applications that improve user experience.

Integration is a core component of the role. You will ensure seamless flow of Goods Receipt (GR) and Goods Issue (GI) data with inbound and outbound deliveries, coordinating with SD and PP teams to align master data, pricing, and scheduling. Experience with subcontracting, Make‑to‑Stock (MTS), Make‑to‑Order (MTO), Stock Transport Orders (STO), and External Services Receipt (ERS) is essential, as these scenarios often involve intricate cross‑module interactions.

On the technical side, the role demands hands‑on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) extensions. You will develop BTP‑integrated RICEF objects, create CDS views for analytical reporting, and expose data via REST APIs to enable real‑time integration with external systems. Proficiency in implementing multiple BADIs to enhance standard functionality is highly valued.

Project delivery will be executed using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, depending on client preferences and project scope. In Waterfall projects, you will adhere to a structured phase‑gate approach, delivering detailed design documents and ensuring rigorous testing. In Agile settings, you will participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and iterative delivery, adapting quickly to changing requirements while maintaining high quality.

Post‑implementation support is a critical part of the lifecycle. You will monitor system performance, resolve tickets raised by end users, and provide knowledge transfer to support teams. Continuous improvement initiatives, such as process optimization and system enhancements, will be driven by your insights and feedback from the business.
