Manager – Sourcing & Supply Chain

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Based on the contract, develops, and implements with the team the strategy for the execution of the allocated project scope in order to achieve the project performance goals.

• Performance Management: constantly monitors and reports the necessary key performances indicators (KPI) on weekly basis. Takes immediately all necessary actions and decisions to guarantee financial, time, quality and safety performance to maximize project goals achievements.

• Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management: establishes, implements, and monitors the Project Quality Plan, Procedures, EHS Plan for the allocated scope. Implements quality improvements where necessary. Ensures best compliance with specification at lowest final cost and incident free execution. .

• Procurement Management: understands all contractual and legal obligations and applies them when interacting with customer, partners & suppliers. Involves legal experts where necessary. Identifies, resolves, and manages all changes and variation orders.

• Complete Ownership, Manage and negotiate for all the equipment sourcing, supply chain management and with vendors & sub-contractors and CHINT Factories for the manufacturing schedule, shipments EXW / ETD movement.

• Follow-up with all vendors for order execution related matters specially arranging the advance, LC and post Drawings, QAP, Engineering & all other documentation submission & approval processes in time for the current projects in had or new Biddings.

• Arrange in all the documentation for the local custom clearance, coordination with the end customer’s project management team for the shipment and keep them updated for the shipment movement / ETA and documentation support from HQ.

• Negotiate & Finalizing best freight forwarder/ CHA and Shipment’s monitoring & Tax/Duty compiling at different regions for project budgeting.

• Establish purchasing strategy for the projects and implement the same & coordinate with BD / sales team for all biddings and support for providing competitive bid.

• Align with China SCM and logistic team and provide support/guidance as and when required & Travel to supplier places/ Project site for Inspection of the ordered equipment & supporting on time delivery of products.

• Ensure Warrantee/ Guarantee, LD and other penalties back-to-back as per contract requirement are addressed while finalizing the vendor agreements. • Any other activities which are required for efficient hanging of supply chain scope.
