Job description

CHINT India Energy Solution Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of the CHINT Group, a top‑five global solar manufacturer with a presence in more than 140 countries. The company offers a complete portfolio that spans polysilicon, ingot, wafer, cell and module production, as well as large‑scale ground‑mounted and distributed solar EPC projects. With over 30 GW of operational and maintenance assets and a strong track record in high‑volume manufacturing, CHINT is expanding its footprint in India’s rapidly growing renewable energy market.

We are looking for a seasoned Sourcing & Supply Chain Manager to join our Bangalore office. This senior role will be responsible for the full lifecycle of procurement and logistics for solar projects, from initial bid support through to final delivery and warranty management. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the manager will work closely with project engineering, finance, legal, business development and international supply chain teams to ensure that every material and service is sourced cost‑effectively, delivered on time, and meets the stringent quality and safety standards expected by CHINT and its customers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with contract requirements and corporate objectives. By leading a high‑performing team, the manager will monitor weekly key performance indicators, such as cost variance, on‑time delivery, quality defect rates and safety incidents, and will take decisive corrective actions when targets are not met. The role also involves establishing project‑specific quality plans, environmental, health and safety (EHS) procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Key duties include:

The role demands a deep understanding of the solar market, its regulatory environment and industry dynamics. Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of experience in renewable‑energy supply chain management, with a proven ability to lead large teams, negotiate complex contracts and deliver results in international bidding scenarios. Strong financial acumen, including budget management and revenue forecasting, is essential, as is a results‑oriented mindset focused on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, fluency in English (both written and spoken), and a track record of successful project execution in the solar sector. The manager will be expected to travel domestically and internationally for supplier audits, project site inspections and stakeholder meetings.

Joining CHINT offers the opportunity to work within a globally recognized organization, contribute to large‑scale clean‑energy projects, and shape the future of solar power in India and beyond.
