Production engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, coordinate, and supervise manufacturing activities for

pressure vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers.

* Interpret engineering drawings and ensure production as per specifications.

* Monitor fabrication processes including welding, assembly, and testing.

* Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety guidelines, and

industry codes (ASME preferred).

* Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

* Coordinate with design, quality, and procurement teams for smooth operations.

* Prepare production schedules and track daily progress.

* Resolve technical issues on the shop floor.

* Maintain proper documentation and production reports.

Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.

* Experience in handling heavy equipment manufacturing.

* Good understanding of welding standards and inspection procedures.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

* Basic knowledge of quality standards and safety norms.

* Good communication and team coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

* Familiarity with ASME standards.

* Experience in handling manpower and shop floor supervision.

* Knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
