Design Engineer

Job description

1. Design & Drafting  Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.  Design aluminium façade systems, curtain walls, sliding/folding doors, windows, partitions, and glazing systems.  Develop 2D & 3D models using CAD software.  Ensure compliance with architectural drawings, structural requirements, and project specifications.  Prepare BOQs and material take-offs. 2. Technical Coordination  Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural engineers, and clients for approvals.  Review architectural drawings and identify design challenges.  Provide technical clarifications during project execution.  Attend technical meetings when required. 3. Engineering & Analysis  Perform structural calculations for aluminium and glass systems.  Ensure designs comply with local building codes and safety standards.  Optimize designs for cost efficiency and structural stability.  Assist in prototype development and testing if required. 4. Production & Site Support  Coordinate with production team for fabrication feasibility.  Provide technical support during installation.  Conduct site visits for measurements and troubleshooting.  Resolve design-related site issues promptly. 5. Documentation & Quality Control  Maintain design documentation and revision records.  Ensure adherence to quality standards and company SOPs.  Support project documentation for handover.
