As we continue to scale, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the business. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for turning raw financial data into actionable insight, guiding strategic decisions that affect the entire organization.

The core of the role is advisory. You will work closely with the CEO, COO and other senior executives, providing scenario analysis, business case evaluations and financial modelling for new initiatives, product launches and cost‑optimization projects. Your ability to translate complex numbers into clear, concise recommendations for non‑financial stakeholders will be essential to influencing high‑impact decisions.

Financial planning is another critical pillar. You will lead the annual budgeting process, coordinate quarterly forecasts and develop long‑term financial plans that align with the company’s growth objectives. Monitoring performance against these plans, you will analyse variances, identify trends and flag emerging risks. When discrepancies arise, you will propose corrective actions and work with operational teams to implement them.

Robust financial controls and governance are non‑negotiable. You will oversee the design and enforcement of policies that ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance and internal consistency. While the accounting team prepares the day‑to‑day financial statements, you will review these reports for relevance to management, ensuring they provide the insight needed for strategic oversight.

Management reporting will be a daily activity. You will craft high‑quality reports, interactive dashboards and executive presentations that highlight key metrics such as profitability, margin drivers, cost structures and return on investment. These deliverables will support board meetings, senior leadership reviews and ad‑hoc decision‑making.

Risk management is embedded in the role. You will identify financial exposures, assess their potential impact and collaborate with risk officers to develop mitigation strategies. Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place to protect company assets and maintain financial integrity will be a continuous focus.

Collaboration across functions is essential. You will partner with product, sales, operations and legal teams to align financial objectives with business goals. By challenging assumptions and providing an independent financial perspective, you will help improve performance, refine pricing strategies and strengthen contract negotiations.

To succeed, you will need a strong commercial mindset, advanced analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex concepts in plain language. Experience in fast‑paced start‑up environments, exposure to senior‑level decision support and a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA are highly valued.
