Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, and manage enterprise IT infrastructure including LAN/WAN, Microsoft Active Directory, enterprise firewalls, NetApp storage, and Linux environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong architectural knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and experience handling large-scale production environments.

This role requires a strong understanding of network architecture, security, and storage administration, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise LAN/WAN architecture, managing core switching, routing, VLAN segmentation, and redundancy, configuring VPN, SDWAN, and IP management and multi-link failover configuration.

The candidate will also be responsible for network performance monitoring and capacity planning, implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery strategies, and designing and managing multi-site Active Directory environments.

Additionally, the Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for implementing advanced Group Policies and security hardening, managing DNS, DHCP, DFS, and domain controllers, and Azure AD / Hybrid integration.

The candidate will also be responsible for implementing identity and access management best practices, Windows Server lifecycle management and patch management, and designing and managing enterprise firewall infrastructure.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for configuring advanced security policies, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection, site-to-site VPN & remote VPN architecture, conducting security audits and vulnerability mitigation, incident response and log analysis, and endpoint security and EDR implementation.

Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for architecting and managing enterprise storage using NetApp, managing aggregates, volumes, LUNs, Snapshots, SnapMirror, storage performance tuning and capacity planning, configuring NFS, CIFS/SMB, and iSCSI, backup strategy and disaster recovery implementation, and integration with virtualization environments.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for administering Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), performance tuning and system hardening, service management (Apache, Nginx, MySQL, etc.), shell scripting and automation, log analysis and troubleshooting, and server security and patch management.

The candidate will also be responsible for leading infrastructure projects and upgrades, creating and maintaining technical documentation, mentoring junior engineers, vendor coordination and SLA management, ensuring compliance with IT security standards and policies, and budgeting and infrastructure planning support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network architecture, security, and storage administration, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the IT team to design, implement, and manage enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize network performance and security.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for collaborating with other teams, such as security and compliance, to ensure that IT infrastructure meets all regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT security best practices, including vulnerability management, incident response, and disaster recovery.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in network architecture, security, and storage administration, and applying this knowledge to improve IT infrastructure and services.

The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and technical guides.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for budgeting and infrastructure planning, working closely with the finance team to ensure that IT infrastructure is aligned with business goals and objectives.

The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with IT security standards and policies, working closely with the security team to ensure that IT infrastructure meets all regulatory requirements.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for collaborating with other teams, such as development and operations, to ensure that IT infrastructure meets all business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT service management, including incident management, problem management, and change management.

The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in IT service management, and applying this knowledge to improve IT services and infrastructure.
