Quality Assurance Manager

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality management efforts and ensure the highest standards of product quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes, managing supplier relationships, and driving process improvements.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for implementing APQP and developing FMEA to proactively identify potential product failures. They will also manage PPAP to ensure all suppliers and manufacturing processes meet customer specifications.

The Quality Assurance Manager will audit suppliers, monitor incoming material quality, and enforce corrective actions for defective parts. They will also lead investigations using tools like 8D or 5 Whys to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

The Quality Assurance Manager will utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to optimize production, reduce waste, and enhance product reliability. They will also maintain quality management systems (QMS), prepare technical reports, and supervise destructive/non-destructive testing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, with experience in implementing and maintaining quality control processes. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all quality-related activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, and for ensuring that all quality-related metrics are met.

The Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Director of Quality and will be responsible for managing a team of quality engineers and technicians. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing quality-related training programs, and for ensuring that all quality-related documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
