Job description

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Coordinate with the sales team to understand client requirements, scope, and project specifications.


  1. Assist in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and architects regarding HVAC systems.


  1. Support pre-sales activities including site visits, technical clarifications, and presentations.


  1. Prepare technical inputs for proposals and tender submissions.


  1. Costing & Estimation


  1. Prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs.


  1. Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC systems including ducting, piping, equipment, insulation, controls, etc.


  1. Analyze vendor quotations and negotiate prices to optimize project costing.


  1. Prepare rate analysis and cost comparisons for multiple system options.


  1. Ensure accuracy of costing with respect to materials, labor, overheads, margins, and contingencies.


  1. Tendering & Documentation


  1. Prepare complete techno-commercial offers including scope, exclusions, assumptions, and payment terms.


  1. Review tender documents, identify risks, and highlight deviations.


  1. Coordinate with procurement, design, and execution teams for inputs required during estimation.


  1. Maintain proper documentation and records of estimates, offers, and revisions.


  1. Coordination & Follow-ups


  1. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for pricing and technical details.


  1. Support post-bid clarifications and negotiations with clients.


  1. Assist in handover of awarded projects to execution teams with detailed costing break-ups.


  1. Technical Skills & Knowledge


  1. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems: Chillers, VRF/VRV, DX, AHU, FCU, ducting, piping, and controls.


  1. Understanding of HVAC drawings, specifications, and industry standards.


  1. Proficiency in estimation tools, Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and costing formats.


  1. Knowledge of tendering procedures and commercial terms.


  1. Qualification & Experience


  1. Education: Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering.


  1. Experience: 2–6 years of experience in HVAC sales, estimation, or costing roles.


  1. Experience in MEP contracting companies will be preferred.
