Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Officer to join our Freight Forwarding Import team in Delhi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the import process, ensuring compliance with local trade policies, and coordinating shipments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and customs regulations. They will be responsible for preparing and filing Bills of Entry, ensuring accurate and aligned supporting documents, and assigning correct Harmonized System codes to products.

They will also be responsible for calculating Basic Customs Duty, Social Welfare Surcharge, and GST, ensuring imports follow local trade policies, and managing specialized cases such as re-imports or temporary imports.

The Sr. Officer will work closely with international offices to secure competitive freight rates, space, and maintain shipment timelines. They will also be responsible for resolving customs holds or examinations, managing insurance claims for damaged cargo, and auditing invoices to prevent hidden surcharges.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
