Subject Matter Expert – IPO & Rights Issue

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert to lead the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art system for managing Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Follow-on Public Offers (FPOs), and Rights Issues for the Registrar and Transfer Agent.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEBI regulations, shareholder record management, and analytical and communication skills.

This role involves establishing robust processes and systems, driving operational excellence, and contributing to business growth by acquiring new opportunities in IPO and Rights Issue handling.

The Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for ensuring the development of a robust system for handling IPO and Rights Issue allotment process, contributing to business growth by acquiring new opportunities in IPO and Rights Issue handling, and ensuring all IPO and Rights Issue activities comply with SEBI guidelines, Companies Act, and stock exchange requirements.

The Subject Matter Expert will also be responsible for developing and maintaining SOPs for issue handling, allotment, refund, and reconciliation, overseeing end-to-end process for IPOs and Rights Issues including application validation, basis of allotment, share credit, and refunds, and liaising with issuers, merchant bankers, stock exchanges, and depositories.

The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of experience in RTA operations with specialization in IPO/Rights Issue handling and a strong understanding of SEBI regulations, shareholder record management, and analytical and communication skills.

The Subject Matter Expert will work closely with IT teams to enhance systems for application processing and reconciliation and conduct training sessions for internal teams on IPO/Rights Issue processes and regulatory updates.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage high-volume transactions under strict timelines, have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and be detail-oriented with a strong compliance mindset.
