Role Summary
The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, regulatory compliances, fund management, banking coordination, and business performance analysis for the NBFC. The role requires strong hands-on exposure to NBFC accounting, RBI prudential norms, and MIS reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Area : Accounting & Bookkeeping
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Ensure daily accounting entries and ledger postings are recorded accurately
Monitor loan disbursement, repayment, and cancellation entries
Perform bank reconciliations
Process vendor payments and salary disbursement
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities :
Review books of accounts weekly and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Review reconciliation statements and approve adjustments
Review and sign off on monthly bank reconciliation statements
Approve payment runs and validate supporting documentation
Functional Area : Financial Reporting & Controls
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Prepare daily cash flow statements
Assist in preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet
Maintain schedules for assets, liabilities, and provisioning
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities :
Review weekly fund flow and liquidity projections
Review and finalize monthly / quarterly financial statements
Approve provisioning workings and financial disclosures
Functional Area : RBI & Regulatory Compliance
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Prepare DNBS returns, DPT-3, ROC (MGT-7, AOC-4) filings
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Advance Tax
Implement Income Recognition & Asset Classification (IRAC) norms
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities :
Review and sign off on all regulatory submissions
Review tax computations and statutory payments before filing
Review asset classification, provisioning, and write-offs
Functional Area : Risk Management & Portfolio Monitoring
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Track monthly disbursements, ticket size, and loan count trends
Monitor early delinquency (0–30 DPD) and overdue buckets
Support credit performance analysis
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Review portfolio quality metrics and risk indicators
Review NPA trends and recommend risk mitigation measures
Review portfolio stress and recommend corrective strategy
Functional Area: Audit & Governance
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents
Respond to audit queries
Maintain compliance documentation
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead statutory, internal, and concurrent audits
Review audit observations and ensure timely closure
Ensure governance framework adherence
Functional Area: Banking & Fund Management
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Coordinate with banks for account operations
Manage API banking coordination and documentation
Execute deployment of surplus funds in liquid instruments
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Decide on opening/closing of bank accounts
Review and approve funding structures and banking limits
Approve investment and redemption planning
Functional Area: MIS & Strategic Analysis
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Prepare weekly/monthly MIS dashboards
Conduct Target vs Actual analysis
Prepare investor data packs
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Review MIS accuracy and present to management
Review profitability by product/partner/region
Review and present financial pitch decks to investors
Functional Area : Business Continuity & Strategic Support
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Execution):
Support financial modelling and budgeting
Assist in fundraising documentation
Review / Supervisory Responsibilities :
Approve budgets and financial forecasts
Review financial due diligence requirements
