Production Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and manage manufacturing operations related to pressure vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in heavy fabrication and equipment manufacturing, ensuring quality, productivity, and adherence to safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise production activities for pressure vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers.

• Interpret and implement engineering drawings, fabrication procedures, and technical specifications.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and other relevant industry standards.

• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.

• Coordinate with Quality Control for inspections, testing (hydro test, NDT), and documentation.

• Manage manpower allocation and supervise shop-floor activities including welding, fabrication, and assembly.

• Ensure adherence to safety policies and statutory regulations.

• Maintain production reports, records, and documentation.

• Coordinate with design, procurement, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).

• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing of pressure vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers.

• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and inspection procedures.

• Familiarity with material standards and quality documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning tools is an advantage.
