Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment & Staffing:
  2. Managing the recruitment process, including posting job ads, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  3. Coordinating with department heads to assess staffing needs.
  4. Ensuring proper onboarding and induction for new employees.
  5. Employee Relations:
  6. Acting as the point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disputes.
  7. Ensuring positive employee relations through conflict resolution, mediation, and maintaining a healthy workplace culture.
  8. Promoting employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  9. Performance Management:
  10. Designing and implementing performance appraisal systems.
  11. Providing coaching and support to managers and employees regarding performance reviews and goal setting.
  12. Managing performance improvement plans and addressing underperformance issues.
  13. Training & Development:
  14. Identifying skills gaps and overseeing employee development initiatives.
  15. Organizing training programs, workshops, and seminars for employees’ professional growth.
  16. Supporting leadership development and succession planning.
  17. Compensation & Benefits:
  18. Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring that compensation is competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  19. Administering employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).
  20. Conducting salary reviews and adjustments in line with company policy.
  21. Compliance & Legal Responsibilities:
  22. Ensuring that the organization complies with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
  23. Maintaining employee records and ensuring confidentiality.
  24. Managing workplace health and safety initiatives.
  25. Policy Development & Implementation:
  26. Drafting, updating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
  27. Ensuring that all employees are aware of company policies regarding behavior, attendance, and workplace expectations.
  28. Workforce Planning & Strategy:
  29. Collaborating with senior management to align HR strategy with business goals.
  30. Implementing strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and employee development.
  31. Forecasting future HR needs and planning accordingly.
  32. Employee Well-being & Engagement:
  33. Promoting a culture of work-life balance, wellness programs, and mental health awareness.
  34. Organizing team-building activities and events to foster collaboration and morale.

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Education: Typically, a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or HR certifications (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) are often preferred.
  2. Experience: 8-10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on management or leadership roles.
  3. Key Skills:
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  6. Knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations.
  7. Proficiency in HR software (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP).
