CNC Turning Operator

Job description

The CNC Turning Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines (lathe machines) to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, process sheets, and quality standards. The role involves tooling setup, program loading, dimensional inspection, and machine maintenance. Key Responsibilities 1. Machine Setup & Operation • Set up CNC turning machines with proper tools, collets, chucks, and fixtures. • Load raw material and align workpieces accurately. • Operate CNC turning center to produce components as per program and specifications. • Make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and speed/feed corrections as required. 2. CNC Program Handling • Load and run CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mitsubishi etc.). • Understand and interpret G-codes and M-codes. • Modify minor program parameters with permission
