WELDING TECHNICIAN

Job description

Job Overview: Aerolam is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Technician with 3–5 years of experience to handle and supervise welding activities as per project requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in multiple welding techniques and the ability to manage a team efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:  Plan, coordinate, and execute welding activities as per project timelines and quality standards  Ensure proper maintenance and repair of welding machines and equipment  Track and manage welding consumables such as rods, gases, and tools  Strictly follow and enforce safety standards, including hot work and work-at-height protocols  Perform welding using SMAW, TIG, MIG, and FCAW techniques  Read and interpret engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)  Promote a strong safety culture within the team  Lead and manage a team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination

Required Skills:  Strong knowledge of welding processes: SMAW, TIG, MIG, FCAW  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and WPS  Good understanding of industrial safety practices  Team handling and leadership skills  Effective communication skills

Experience:  3 to 5 years of relevant welding experience

Education:  Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical, Welding, or related field
