Job description

1. Machine Setup & Operation • Set up CNC turning machines with proper tools, collets, chucks, and fixtures. • Load raw material and align workpieces accurately. • Operate CNC turning center to produce components as per program and specifications. • Make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and speed/feed corrections as required. 2. CNC Program Handling • Load and run CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mitsubishi etc.). • Understand and interpret G-codes and M-codes. • Modify minor program parameters with permission (e.g., depth of cut, feed rate). • Report program issues to the CNC programmer. 3. Quality Inspection • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols. • Measure components using: o Vernier calipers o Micrometers (inside/outside) o Bore gauges o Height gauges o Thread gauges / plug gauges • Perform first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection. • Maintain dimensional tolerances and surface finish standards. 4. Maintenance & Safety • Perform routine machine cleaning, coolant level checks, lubrication, and chip removal. • Ensure tools are sharp and replaced when worn out. • Report machine faults immediately to maintenance. • Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE. 5. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain job cards, production logs, and inspection reports. • Record tool usage, cycle times, and rejection details. • Follow ISO/TS or company-specific quality systems
