Job Role - Sr. Database Administrator

Job Profile Responsible for defining, supporting, implementing, and perfecting the architecture and processes of the product and platformsrequired to meet business goals and aims.

Location - Ghansoli - Navi Mumbai Total Experience 10+ years Business Unit Metropolitan Retail

Qualifications Educational - BSc / MSc / MCA / BE : Computer Science or IT

Relevant Experience • 6+ years of relevant experience into Postgres & SQL • Experience in Cloud Architecture e.g. AWS / Azure, etc. • Solid Experience and Understanding of DB

architecture & implementations • Experience and Knowledge in MongoDB will be an added advantage Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KRAs/KPIs:

1. Installing your PostgreSQL Software
2. Creating PostgreSQL Databases
3. Managing the PostgreSQL Cluster
4. Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
5. Support, administer and maintain database environments running MongoDB LUW
6. Develop procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need downtime.
7. Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving).
8. Managing Database Storage Structures
9. Administering User Security
10. Managing Data Concurrency
11. Managing Undo Data
12. Implementing Database Auditing
13. Database Maintenance
14. Performance Management

1. Responsible for query tuning
2. Backup and Recovery Concepts
3. Performing Database Backups
4. Performing Database Recovery
5. Moving Data
6. Patch Management
7. Experience with database migrations to PostgreSQL will be an added advantage
8. Good communication skills
9. Good time management skills
10. Migration experience from other database technologies to Postgres would be advantageous.
