Position-:Deputy General Manager-Contract Logistics (Operations)
Position Overview:Thispositionisresponsibleforthemanagementandleadershipforhighlevelserviceandprofitabilityof the accounts/divisions assigned to this role. Provide management and leadership to Operationsmanagers. Hewill support the Country General Manager in maintaining the smoothoperation of alldailylogisticsactivitiesandconductinaccordancetoplanandprocedures
Key Responsibility Area-:
- ProvidestrategicleadershipanddirectionstotheassignedWarehouseoperations/ projects
- To lead and manage facility of company’s logistics operations (Warehousing &Transportation) including monitoring and achievement of Operation Key PerformanceIndex i.e. Order Accuracy, Safety, Warehouse turn-around-time, Billing anddocumentation, Inventory Management (Control, Accuracy and level), Overtime Ratio &LaborProductivity.
- Prepare,maintainandupdateSOP/SWItomeetcustomerrequirements
- Monitortheperformanceofemployeestoensurestandardpracticesandpropercareofusingthe equipment,materials andsuppliesin thewarehouse.
- Leadandmanagetheassignedlogisticsoperationssiteincludingmonitoringandachievement of Operation Key Performance Index and responsible for overallperformance.
- Review and management of Revenue & Expense of operations including Continuousmonitoringofexpensesandaccurateapplicationofrevenue
- Manageanddeveloptheoperationsteamwhichmayinclude;Stafftrainingplan,Recruitmentofoperationsstaff,StaffdevelopmentactivityandEnsureefficientcommunicationbetweeninter-departments
- Supervises and develops managers and carries out supervisory responsibilities inaccordance with the organization’s policies andapplicablelaws
- Definesrequirementsforoperationandensurestheimplementationofnewstrategiesandinitiativestoeffectivelymeetorexceedrequirements&customerexpectations.
- Implementation of GXOS(Lean) at all sites, evaluate service levels, review processes andprocedures,identifyareasforimprovement,andestablishcontinuousimprovementplans.
- Negotiate and reduce costs on hired contractors, verify and authorize payment(s),Continuous sourcing of contractors, management & maintenance of assets and maximizeprofitability
- TosubmitmonthlyforecastandplanningtomeetyearlybudgetforTransportationandwarehousing.
- Allrelatedmatterspertainingtofacility,safetyandsecurityissues.
- As required, assist sales team in securing new business, including; conduct of facilitytours, presentations on operations, site visits for customers to present capabilities and /orgatherdataandcoordinationeffortwithengineeringandITteams.

- Excellentnegotiationexperiencewithcustomers,subcontractors,transporters,&vendors.
- Experiencewithcustomsandregulatoryissuesrelatedtologistics
- Proven experience in the management of personnel for managerial and professionalstafflevel,and inamulti-racial environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalentworkexperience inthe logisticsfield.
- This position requires at least 10+ years of experience in logistics operations (B2B & B2C management, providing overalldirection,implementation,andcontinuousimprovementinoperations.
- Musthaveatleast5+years3PLworkingexperienceat managementlevel
