Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of a variety of dim sum dishes, including dumplings, buns, and rolls.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
- Work closely with senior kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate execution of dim sum orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dim sum station, including equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of ingredients and hygiene practices.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering of dim sum ingredients.
- Learn and apply proper techniques for shaping, filling, and cooking dim sum items.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably with exposure to dim sum preparation.
- Basic knowledge of Chinese cuisine and dim sum cooking techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
