Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various Asian dishes, including but not limited to Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of Asian dishes.
- Work under the guidance of senior kitchen staff to execute orders efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Asian cuisine section, including equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of ingredients and hygiene practices.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering of Asian cuisine ingredients.
- Learn and apply proper cooking techniques and flavor profiles unique to Asian cuisine.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, with exposure to Asian cuisine preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.
